Dog Letters to God...

I spent this week in a very pleasant companion of two (sometimes three) dogs, Dora, Grace, and Daisy. Both of my new little, maybe a little large, friends were a bit shy at the beginning of my stay with them, Dora would welcome me with barking all throughout day one. Well, I left their house for four days and upon returning back, these friendly dog ladies were very welcoming! They even waved their tales at me and tried to lick my face many, many times! I also realized how much they liked sharing with me. They wanted to share food with me... meaning my food... both attempted to share a bed with me, Dora really liked my laptop and wanted to share... and she really did... :) I think that sharing plays a big role dogs' lives.

And so, when I found this, I thought that I should share:

Dear God, Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom, if ever, smell one another?

Dear God, When we get to heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or is it the same old story?

Dear God, Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE named for a dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We dogs love a nice ride! Would it be so hard to rename the 'Chrysler Eagle' to the 'Chrysler Beagle'?

Dear God, If a dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad dog?

Dear God, We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?

Dear God, More meatballs, less spaghetti, please.

Dear God, When we get to the Pearly Gates, do we have to shake hands to get in?

Dear God, Are there mailmen in Heaven? If there are, will I have to apologize?

Icees

God Makes Ice Look Awesome

Before coming to Erie PA, I never saw rain freeze as it falls down. And I always wished I could see that. One thing I didn't know though, was that the rain would be very cold and everything (understand EVERYTHING) would become slippery, cold, and wet.
One of these freezing rains came this Tuesday. And contrary to what i expected, I was complaining about the weather. This was the second time this year when I happened to be on duty, had to walk outside till 11.30 p.m., while getting this sleet.
Now I actually like the results - everything covered with pure ice. How beautiful the nature looks... I took my camera for a walk (and a friend too) and so we spent good 20 minutes in the snow and ice beauty. God made the ice look great!
This whole story reminds me of how sometimes I wish for things to be different, things to come, or things to go. Then God makes one of my wishes come true. I complain about the changes not knowing what they are for, but in the end, God always makes changes so that we all could experience how much He loves us every day.

TIME

Take TIME to think
... it is the source of power.
Take TIME to play
... it is the secret of perpetual youth.
Take TIME to read
... it is the fountain of wisdom.
Take TIME to pray
... it is the greatest power on Earth.
Take TIME to love and be loved
... it is a God-given privilege.
Take TIME to be friendly
... it is the road to happiness.
Take TIME to laugh
... it is the music of the soul.
Take TIME to give
... it is too short a day to be selfish.
Take TIME to work
... it is the price of success.
Take TIME to do charity
... it is the key to heaven.

You guessed it, this did not come from my own creative mind :) God sent this short poem into my email inbox one day. And I loved it! Sometimes it is so difficult to find what are the important things to do in my life. Sometimes there is so much to do that time for work comes first and time for God last, what a shame. Yet, I can glorify God through what I do and as pastor Ben-Ezra says, 'To make Jesus look good.'
My motivation for life is here in a couple words.

Who is it?

Yes, I believe that God has given us toys too

Friendship

To all my dear friends:

Thank you all for being part of my life. I thank God for blessing me with your presence. My life without you would be empty and sad. Thank you for being my inspiration and for keeping me on the right path (the Jesus one). I received this rose from Adiel and it is supposed to be a rose of friendship, so, dear sisters in Christ, this rose is for you.
